Could you raise the armed forces charity SSAFA’s, Soldiers,Sailors,Airmen & Families Association profile in your local area? You don’t need a military background, just the ability to get on with all kinds of people, some good I.T. skills and good written and spoken English.

As publicity Coordinator you would work with your local SSAFA branch to develop a Publicity Plan. You would be central to delivering this local plan to raise awareness of SSAFA to potential clients, volunteers and funders.

SSAFA have been supporting the Armed Forces community for more than 130 years. Their clients come from all backgrounds and age groups and may have served in WW2 or in a more recent conflict like the Falklands or Afghanistan. They would love the general public to understand what they do and how they can help. They need to recruit volunteers that reflect our local communities and raise money to fund their work. They need you to help them get the SSAFA message out!

As part of your local branch you might have access to an office, but many volunteers are based at home. You would also be out and about at events and meetings.
