Pocket Parks Volunteer - Moulton
Posted for Moulton Pocket Park
Interested in the Environment and/or wildlife?
There are usually a variety of opportunities within the Pocket Parks network where you can make a difference to your local environment. Most are conservation tasks such as pond management, tree and hedgerow planting, planning access, wildlife meadow management and making and installing nest boxes.
Other activities include writing press releases, leading school and other parties, organising and delivering events and being an active member of the management group who oversee the running of the Park. The latter involve occasional group meetings. Not all the above all available in all parks. Check with local organisers re specific activities.
Because of the variety of work different skills are required but nothing too specialist. Most of all you need a love of wildlife and an interest in improving your green environment!
Volunteers would need to have the ability to get along with a variety of people some common sense and some time to offer. This may vary between 9 hours a year (3 practical tasks) or 30 hours or more a year.
