Children's Activity Leader/Helper

To assist with one-off and regular sessions for groups of children. (from 5 years upwards) The sessions will include a variety of activities such as crafts and games (art sessions, knitting, comic book club, manga groups, coding clubs, etc.). All materials are provided and you can either lead a session or help to support staff and other volunteers.
What tasks may be involved in this role: 1. Planning and organising new activities alongside library staff. 2. Setting out appropriate materials before the event. 3. Booking children into the event. 4. Helping with the activity as required. 5. Clearing away at the end of each session.
What qualities would be useful in these roles:
1. Be flexible, reliable and able to help on a regular basis and at busy times. 2. Be confident in talking to a group of children. 3. Be confident in assisting children with activities and have some knowledge of the activity theme. 4. Be able to work without supervision. 5. Be aware of health and safety issues when working with children and craft materials.
