SkillsThis opportunity will require an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. A volunteer requires the ability to be able to relate to children and encourage discussion. Good listening skills coupled with the ability to answer any questions, which the children may raise. Patience and a sense of humour are very useful. Training is provided. We would expect a volunteer to do a minimum of two sessions of 2.5hrs a month or more often if they would like. Please see our new video on our website for a snapshot of the centre in action.
