School Grants to Support Social Action Projects

New grant programme opening soon to support young people to access high quality social action opportunities in England.

The £54 million #iwill Fund is a joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to support young people to access high quality social action opportunities.

As a match funder awarding grants on the behalf of the #iwill Fund, the Ormiston Trust is offering open grants to support the embedding of sustainable youth social action at scale in schools.

The Ormiston Trust’s #WeWill Social Action Grants fund looks to support this mission by funding projects which will have a meaningful social impact on an individual, school, local, national, and/or international level, are co-produced young people, and allow development for key skills.

There are four main funding areas within the programme:

  • Environment and Climate Justice
  • Wellbeing and Mental Health
  • Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
  • Community-based Issues.

Applicants must be a primary or secondary school based in England.

Grants of up to £5,000 over a one-year period are available.

The fund opens to applications on 18 March 2022. The deadline for expressions of interest is 18 April 2022.
