Midcounties Co-operative Your Community Fund
The Co-operative Community Fund is provided by the Midcounties Co-operative. It has been created from dormant member accounts.
The Co-operative believes in:
- Democracy – ensuring the views of its membership are reflected in the way it runs The Midcounties Co-operative.
- Openness – being open and honest and fair in its dealings with everyone it comes into contact with.
- Equality – recognising the contribution that everyone can make in developing The Midcounties Co-operative.
- Social Responsibility – reflecting its responsibilities to the wider community in the way it conducts its business.
Funding is intended for not-for-profit voluntary and community organisations that can show that their project will build their capacity and bring benefit to the local community.
Projects should address at least one of the Midcounties Co-operative’s four key social goals, which are:
- Supporting Communities.
- Defending the Environment.
- Developing Young People.
- Developing Co-ops.
Grants of up to £500 per group are available.
Applications can be made at anytime, until the fund becomes exhausted. The fund is replenished four times a year on the following dates:
- 1 January.
- 1 May.
- 1 August.
- 1 November.
