Change to the definition of regulated activity with children
From 1 September 2026, the law on regulated activity with children is changing. The current supervision exemption will be removed, meaning some roles involving staff and volunteers may become regulated activity where they weren’t before. If your organisation works with children, it’s important to understand how the changes could affect roles within your organisation and the level of DBS checks required.
