Safe ’n Sound Project Over 700 households have received smoke alarms and fire safety checks; door chains and home security checks; home energy checks and insulation; health advice and opportunities to volunteer within the neighbourhood and further afield. Part of the project also involves working in schools promoting the energy saving message to children. This is undertaken by an educator from the Centre for Research, Education and Training (CREATE) and has resulted in some exciting reative and presentational work by the children. We have also supported schools in their eco initiatives and helped them to become more eco friendly and conservation conscious in their use of materials and resources. Of course, the project and what it offers is open to all homeowners within South Northamptonshire and if you live in the district you can get fire alarms, door chains, home insulation and related benefits easily and cheaply through the project. During the second year of activity the project will be publicized in the remainingparts of the district, including Brackley. If we haven’t been to your locality and you think we have something to offer you, your friends and other people in your neighbourhood, we would love to hear from you. Our aim is to help people live more safely and securely within their own homes, so do get in touch. Safe ’n Sound protects you from the dangers of fire, crime and the cold!
