Do you have a skill that you would like to share? Are you interested in enabling young people to reach their full potential? If you are over 18, Towcester Scouts, Cubs and Beavers we would like to hear from you.
You can give as much or as little time as you choose.
Gym Helper
Would you be able to spare an hour to help a group leader with several clients, who have learning disabilities, during a 'fun' keep fit session?
The session takes place at a local Leisure Centre between 1.30 -2.30 pm.
Handyperson
Care & Repair is looking for someone with basic DIY knowledge, for approximately 5-6 hours one day a week, to fit door chains or key safes. Some tools can be provided.
If you have your own transport and are able to travel to people's homes throughout South Northamptonshire then they would like to hear from you. Days/times are flexible and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Befriender
The Side by Side project is a unique volunteer befriending scheme, run by the Alzheimer’s Society, which aims to provide support for the growing number of younger people living with a diagnosis of dementia, in their own homes within South Northants.
This could involve walking, fishing, gardening, visiting places of interest, having a meal out together or simply a visit to provide companionship and emotional support.
Heritage Administrator
Towcester Museum Trust is looking for a person for documentation and organisation of artefacts and archival material. You need to have general office based skills and be IT literate. The main requirement of the post will be cataloguing on a database - training will be given.

Collection Box Co-ordinator
Banbury Young Homeless People (BYHP) Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic person to set up a Collection Box scheme for Banbury.
If you like building up a rapport with establishments in your local community you could be just the person. Money raised will help BYHP’s goal of supporting homeless people aged 16-25 by continuing our drop-in centre, which runs many varied life skill classes enabling these young people to access training, education and employment.
