WNDC Stronger Communities Fund

The snvb infrastructure support team would like to bring this fund to your attention. We have learnt that as from April 2010, the geographical reach of this fund has been extended.

If you are a not-for-profit, voluntary or community group that is based in South Northants or Daventry District you could be eligible for a WNDC Stronger Communities grant. Originally the geographical spread was confined to areas circling Towcester, Daventry and Northampton but now the fund covers the full local authority districts.

WNDC are looking to provide capital funding for new or existing projects which deliver sporting or cultural benefits. For example, if you are considering the renovation of a community kitchen, a new disabled toilet, play area equipment, fencing to secure a community area or notice boards it might be worth applying. A WNDC grant will fund up to £10,000 but in exceptional circumstances will consider higher amounts.

“We know some local groups have had success applying for WNDC funds,” says Nick King, snvb Outreach Worker, “and we want to highlight the fund to all groups in our area.
